The Strategic Plan
Hi Teams,
Big words, "Strategic Plans". But without some form of plan and strategy for acting on that plan, we are literally just guessing.
Every successful business has some form of strategic plan. Ours is fairly straight forward, but without writing it down it is
meaningless. How many times have we heard that the first thing a marketing seminar asks. "where do you want to be 5 years from now"?
"Write it Down".
What do you want out of life? Kids, New Car, Large House, Secure Retirement, Travel?.
Well we are going to assume everyone wants to have at least a little more freedom and stop there.
Next we are going to look towards what we have just started and where we are with Stair-Step.
This will be the starting point of our Strategic Plan.
Next we will pick an arbitrary time frame in which to have our strategic plan developed with some
realistic expectations.
Then we are going to add some time to the end of the plan and where we would expect to be
at the final end of the plan. So this initial plan after it is developed will have to undergo
refinement as we learn about what is available to us that we must learn first and implement as part of our plan.
You can readily see that as we employ the tools and garner the available support which become a part of
the strategic plan, we will have to redevelop our plan to reflect these advances.
This is where the fun starts, because as we redevelop our plan we can see the successes that lay ahead.
